2024 Central Bank Open Call Art Competition
Ends on
The Central Bank of The Bahamas warmly invites the Bahamian creative community to participate in the 41st Annual Open Call Art Competition. For over four decades, this competition has been a cornerstone in our nation’s cultural landscape, dedicated to nurturing and showcasing the exceptional talent of Bahamian artists.
This year, we continue that proud tradition, welcoming you to submit entries with no restrictions on theme, medium, or size. We encourage all submitters to put their best foot forward, channeling the same spirit of excellence that has defined this competition for the past 40 years.
The competition is open to all Bahamians and Residents over the age of 18.
Here are the key requirements:
- The submitted work must have been created within the past year.
- The works' images must be uploaded to this Submittable platform (no attachments to emails, no in-person deliveries).
- For proper representation, paintings, sculptures, drawings, objects, etc., must be photographed from different angles in high resolution (300 dpi) before uploading.
- Photographs, film, audio, and new media can be uploaded to Submittable directly.
- Each artist must submit a short video clip (max. 90 sec.) that tells us about yourself and the submitted work. Ensure that the video has good visual and sound quality.
- Only one submission is allowed. However, you can add images or text in the video clip to help the judges further understand your artistic practice.
The deadline for all submissions is Friday, November 29, 2024.
If you have any questions, please contact us at curator@centralbankbahamas.com, we are happy to assist as needed. We look forward to receiving your submission.
